Shula’s Steak House, the restaurant chain bearing the name of football legend Don Shula, is celebrating its 25th year in business.
The Hall of Fame coach and other Miami Dolphins players from the 1972 perfect season team will toast the chain’s milestone Wednesday at the original Shula’s Steak House in Miami Lakes. Dolphins players confirmed to attend the exclusive event include Bob Griese, Nat Moore and Kim Bokamper.
The party doesn’t stop in Miami Lakes.
Other Shula’s restaurants across the country are also slated to have invite-only celebrations Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary.
“We are very proud of the milestone,” said Dave Shula, president of Shula’s Steak Houses, LLLP. “Twenty-five years in the restaurant business is a big accomplishment. It’s a tribute to everyone that’s been part of it.”
Shula’s Steak Houses, LLLP, the parent company of Shula’s Steak House, has a portfolio of six different restaurant concepts, including the steak houses, fast casual eateries and sports bars.
The company has 36 locations nationwide, including a Shula Burger restaurant that recently opened at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Two of the company’s restaurants are corporate-owned; the rest are franchised.
“We are looking forward to the next 25 years,” Shula said.
