The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube®, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 25 sauces, announced today that it has experienced tremendous growth in its 40th year in business. Since January, The Lube® has expanded into core and emerging markets across the country, opening up eight new restaurants in New Jersey, Nebraska, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Fueling this announcement is the recent grand openings of the latest Quaker Steak & Lube® restaurants in Pohatcong and Edison, N.J., League City, Texas, and Bristol, Va. The brand also debuted its Award-Winning chicken wings to new communities in Grand Island, Neb., and Sulphur, La., which have quickly embraced Lube Nation and its culture. Additionally, The Lube® experienced growth in its largest markets, opening new restaurants in York, Pa., and in Warren, Ohio.

In addition to its growth, Quaker Steak & Lube® was recently honored at the 2014 National Buffalo Wing Festival, a two-day event that takes place annually during Labor Day weekend at the Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo, N.Y.; this year it took place on Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Aug. 31. Each year at the National Buffalo Wing Festival, The Lube® enters its sauces into several of the seven allotted categories. A panel of judges then decides which restaurants have the best sauce based on a blind taste test. This year, The Lube® took home first place for its Thai ‘R’ Cracker sauce in the Creative Spicy sauce category and second place for its Triple Atomic sauce in the Best Extra-Hot sauce category.
The compelling décor, including race cars suspended from the ceilings, motorcycles, Corvettes and motor-themed memorabilia, combined with its craveable food and SuperCharged events, has created a cult-like following for The Lube® for 40 years.
